Programme
9–12 April 2026
Day 1 (Thursday, 9 April 2026)
Arrival of participants & Welcome
- Arrival of FAM trip participants in the afternoon / evening hours
- Accommodation at a hotel in Metković, where participants will be welcomed by the organisers. A welcome gift package including promotional materials and authentic products from the Neretva Valley will be distributed, together with a detailed itinerary and programme overview
- Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay
Day 2 (Friday, 10 April 2026)
Culture, heritage & nature of the Neretva Valley
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Departure from the hotel to the Natural History Museum in Metković; short walk and guided tour of the museum (approx. 1 hour)
- Departure to Vid; visit to the Narona Archaeological Museum with a guided tour
- After the museum visit, free time for a coffee break in Vid (Đuđa & Mate), including a presentation of Narona Kayaking
- Departure to Badžula; welcome aperitif and light snack, comfort break and boarding traditional lađa boats. Boat ride with storytelling along the river towards Lake Kuti
- Visit to the Heritage House with storytelling presentation by Anita Mijoč
- Meet & Greet with local exhibitors – free time to explore the estate
- Dinner – buffet featuring traditional Neretva Valley specialities
- Performance by the Metković Folklore Ensemble
- Return to the hotel and overnight stay
Day 3 (Saturday, 11 April 2026)
Towns, sea & active experiences in the Neretva Valley
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Departure towards Ploče and transfer to Staševica for an active morning programme with Illyria Adventure, including a cycling tour and a visit to a local winery
- Following the winery visit, departure to the Baćina Lakes for a traditional lađa boat ride and a visit to the Ostojić family farm. Storytelling about fig cultivation and local products, followed by a tasting session
- Short guided tour of the town of Ploče
- Lunch at the excursion site “Ane i Ja”
- After lunch, transfer to Rogotin and visit to the Wind Organ
- Departure to the Neretva River Delta to enjoy sunset views, accompanied by a short presentation of kitesurfing activities
- Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay
Day 4 (Sunday, 12 April 2026)
Wine & Farewell
- Breakfast at the hotel and check-out
- Departure to Opuzen for a short guided tour of the town. The walk concludes with a symbolic refreshment (fresh mandarin juice or liqueur) and a photo opportunity overlooking the river
- Transfer to Deak Winery and a scenic viewpoint for a wine tasting accompanied by light bites
- Transfer to Dubrovnik
